2025 - 2026 School Supply List May Howard Elementary School

PRE-KINDERGARTEN

  • All instructional supplies are provided through the state-funded Pre-K program. Therefore, parents are not asked to purchase school supplies. Students should, however, have a full size clear or mesh backpack, lunchbox, and small rest blanket.

The teachers at each grade level have requested the donation of the following non-required items to support instruction and student care in the classroom.

School Uniform Information

(In compliance with SCCPSS Board Policy JCDB-R)

May Howard Uniform Colors:
Shirts: Navy Blue or White/ Bottoms: Navy Blue or Khaki
  • Tops may be polo-style shirts, collared blouses, or turtlenecks and are to be plain unless displaying the school’s name or logo. Shirts/tops should be tucked and may not expose any part of the midriff, lower back, or undergarments.

  • Solid navy blue or khaki uniform pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, or Capri pants may be worn. Shorts and skirts must be of an appropriate length that maintains modesty and provides sufficient coverage while the student is walking, sitting, or participating in school activities.
  • Dress code does not permit denim, knit pants, jogging pants, or pajama pants.
  • Socks must be solid navy, black, or white with no designs.
  • Tights and leggings (only as an undergarment) may be worn and must be solid navy, black, or white with no designs.
  • Shoes must be enclosed and fastened properly (no sandals or crocs of any kind are permitted).
  • Solid navy or white sweaters, windbreakers, or sweatshirts may be worn over the uniform shirt. Hooded sweat jackets (but NOT pullover hooded sweatshirts) are permitted and must be worn unzipped inside the building; and
  • Tee-shirts may be worn under uniform shirts but must not be visible.

Backpacks must be clear or mesh. No rolling backpacks for students at any grade level. Every child needs a water bottle. NO glass or metal water bottles allowed
